A hand-painted Hasami ware bowl, shaped in a delicate bellflower (kikyo) form and finished in soft indigo and warm rust tones.
Featuring a traditional chinese bellflower motif at the centre, the design is carefully painted by hand using classic sometsuke (blue underglaze) techniques. The brown “rust” line along the rim adds contrast, gently framing the piece and enhancing its overall elegance.
Each piece is painted by hand, so slight variations may occur.
Perfect for small sides, snacks, or desserts - from pistachios and pickles to cut fruit or ice cream. It also works beautifully for sauces or dipping, and doubles as a small trinket dish for your everyday jewellery.
Small speckles or glaze variations may appear. These are natural characteristics of the material and firing process.
